Judith Elaine (Stewart) Blanton, was a caring partner, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world suddenly on March 13, 2024 at age 72.
Her life began January 10, 1952, in Cassopolis, Michigan, the youngest of four children born to Stanley and DeVere (Dungey) Stewart.
Judith was a lifelong resident of Cassopolis. One of her favorite spring time activities was spending hours hunting for mushrooms and then sharing them with family. To this day, no one knows that secret spot. She enjoyed family get-togethers, where everyone always raved over her macaroni and cheese. Her most recent enjoyment was watching cooking shows, which she had the benefit of doing with her sister Marcia.
Judith was a creative, pertinacious, devoted woman, with a lively sense of humor and a deep affection for her family, friends and every type of animal that she came across. She often spent time writing poetry, some of which she would share with family and friends to uplift them during a difficult time.
She cherished working at Goodwill, where her co-workers and customers grew to be like her second family. She had such a great fondness for them and they for her.
She leaves behind her significant other, Charles Spaulding; one daughter, LaMonica Mason of Niles, Michigan, one grandson, Tre’Vin Mason; one son, Dante´ (Katherine Ramirez) Blanton of Dunlap, Indiana, two grandchildren, Dasha Blanton, Elijah Blanton; two step-grandchildren, DeAngelo Ramirez, Demetrius Ramirez; two sisters, Marcia Duminie of Niles, Michigan, Deloris Plair of Las Vegas, Nevada; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Cobry Markiez Stewart; one granddaughter, Kyra Laine Stewart; and one brother, Alan Dean Stewart, Sr.
Judith, who was family and friend to so many, will be sorely missed and forever remembered. Because Judith celebrated life, no formal funeral service is being planned, instead, she will be honored with a remembrance and celebration of her life to be held on a date and at a time to be announced.
